Katharine Studer
( She/Her/Hers )Katharine Studer graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Art degree in English. She received an M.F.A. degree in Creative Writing from Bowling Green State University. Her doctorate work (in progress) centers on Rhetoric and Writing and Writing for Social Justice. She has published poems in The Meridian Anthology of Poetry, Blue Literary Magazine, Adelaide Literary Magazine, Women Speak, The Cornfield Review and other online publications. Her first book of poetry entitled Saving the Children is forthcoming in April 2022 with Adelaide Books. Her teaching approach centers on writing for social justice and in helping students recognize the potential of using essay writing for activism and social change. Her methodology focuses on helping students discover how their own languages, experiences and beliefs, can be merged with their academic endeavors.
