Mark Roberge is a Professor of English and also serves as graduate coordinator of the Composition and Post-secondary Reading program.   His scholarship focuses on immigrant education, second language instruction, program administration, and teacher training.  He has given numerous presentations and faculty development workshops on teaching academic writing to linguistically and culturally diverse student populations in secondary and post-secondary English classes.   His publications include the books Generation 1.5 in College Composition: Teaching Academic Writing to U.S.-Educated Learners of ESL (2009), Informed Choices: A Guide for Teachers of College Writing (2015), and Teaching US Educated Immigrant Students: Practices from and for the Classroom (2016).  He also served as co-editor for 20 issues of the CATESOL Journal, a peer reviewed academic journal published by the Association of California Teachers of English to Speakers.
